Short River Route

A relaxed trip lasting about 1.5–3 hours. Two available routes to choose from, see routes page above for more details. We will deliver the kayaks, paddles, and life jackets to your chosen launch point and pick them up at your designated take-out location. You'll be responsible for arranging your own transportation to the start and from the end of your trip.

Long River Route

Spend more time on the water with a 3–5 hour journey through 8.6 miles of beautiful stretches on the Cedar River. We will deliver the kayaks, paddles, and life jackets to your chosen launch point and pick them up at your designated take-out location. You'll be responsible for arranging your own transportation to the start and from the end of your trip.

Transportation Details

While we don’t currently offer shuttle service for paddlers, we take care of the gear logistics so you can enjoy your time on the water. We will deliver the kayaks, paddles, and life jackets to your chosen launch point and pick them up at your designated take-out location. You'll be responsible for arranging your own transportation to the start and from the end of your trip. We hope to add shuttle service in the near future!

How it works

Drive to the take-out point (where your trip will end) and leave a vehicle there.
Carpool or drive with a friend to the launch point (where we’ll meet you with your gear).
Enjoy your paddle!
When you reach the take-out point, load yourself up and head out—we’ll handle the equipment pick-up.

We'll provide detailed maps, location info, and confirm all timing with you

Sample Timeline

Reservation Launch time is 10:00 AM

9:30 AM – Drop one vehicle at the take-out point and carpool to the start point.
10:00 AM – Arrive at the launch site; we’ll have your kayaks and gear ready. Review registration and complete safety briefing.
10:15 AM – Start your paddle.
12:30 PM – Finish your route (give or take a half hour based on route length and pace).
After your trip – Pull kayaks/gear onto shore. Head home; no need to worry about returning equipment. We will take care of that!

River Safety & Rental Availability

Your safety is our top priority. Because both river conditions and weather can change quickly, we only offer river route rentals when the flow is just right—not too high, not too low—and when the forecast looks safe and stable. On days when the river isn’t ideal or when storms may be in the forecast, you can still enjoy a peaceful paddle with our hourly rentals on the Mill Pond, as long as conditions allow. We keep a close eye on water levels and weather and will contact you should your rental

What's Included

Paddles – Each rental comes with a paddle suited to your kayak type.
Life Jackets – Safety first! A personal flotation device is provided and required for every guest.
Safety Briefing – Before you head out, we’ll give you a quick briefing to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Equipment drop-off/pick-up - we take care of the gear logistics so you can enjoy your time on the water,

**Not included: Shuttle service - unfortunately at this time we do not provide shuttle service for persons, we hope to add this in the near future!

What to Bring

Photo ID – We’ll check IDs at launch to confirm your identity matches the name on your reservation and completed waiver. It’s a quick step to keep everything safe and smooth!
Garbage bags: We follow the Leave No Trace principles. We ask guests to take garbage with them at the end of the trip—including food wrappers, cans, and any other waste. Please help keep our river clean.
Floatation devices/water bag for cell phones and car keys
Sunscreen even on cloudy days
Sunglasses with a strap, you don’t want to lose your glasses in the river.
Hat or cap
Water shoes, old tennis shoes, or sandals with straps on the heels. Bare feet or loose sandals are not recommended. You may have to get in the water to push off if you stop or when entering/exiting the river.
Mosquito/tick repellant
Food, snacks, water – No glass bottles or styrofoam
